What's Shakin?

What's worse than being in a crowed high rise hospital, on rollers, with all glass windows, in downtown LA, in an earthquake? Being in the middle of getting your blood drawn in a crowded high rise hospital, on rollers, with all glass windows in downtown LA!!! Yep, That's where David was when it hit, although I guess the people upstairs in surgery had it worse. The doctor said David's blood work looks good. His white cell blood count is almost completely back to normal, and that she will do the Pet/CT scan in mid September. She believes it is early to do it now and a PET scan gives a considerable amount of radiation which they are trying to avoid. Since the radiation is actually more dangerous than the possibility of detecting cancer cells now. She said it would make no difference in the efficacy of the treatment if the Pet picked up something in September compared to now, but she doesn't expect to see any cancer cells anyway. So, we will continue to wait 6 more weeks, trusting God and realizing that there really are no for sure answers. The doctors can't say for sure you are cured and it won't come back, so we are just trying to live each day to God's glory, and trust in Him.

I've got a smile on my face after reading your blog. The earthquake part made me a little nervous...but I am so grateful that Dave is doing good. We will continue to pray for him and for you all.

Much love.
