Deciding...
When I first started this blog, the purpose was to communicate to people who wanted to know what was going on with my dad and David's cancer. Now that I'm hoping this trial will soon be over, I'm not sure what to do with the blog. I don't mind posting what we've been doing and treating it like a scrapbook, or as an avenue to keep in touch with friends around the country, but it feels kinda weird. I don't want to be totally superficial and only post about the highlights of our lives, but I don't know how many personal thoughts to share. When my dad and David were sick, it was really helpful to journal and treat the blog like a diary, and I enjoyed writing all my thoughts. It really helped to clarify everything that God was teaching me. Now that it could be over, I don't know how much to share about normal everyday lessons and events. Part of me wants to write about different things that happen in the day, but it is so strange to be able to write and have no idea who it is you are writing to, and who is reading it, and what they are thinking. It is much easier to play it safe and keep everything on the surface level. So I guess that's what I'm deciding. What do I do with this blog? Is it something worth continuing? Which direction should it take? Is it lame to just post all the good stuff and not share about everyday life? Am I over analyzing the whole thing in the first place? I don't know. Any suggestions?

Yes, you are "OVER ANALYZING":) As for me, I'd love to be able to keep up with you and your family since we are clear on the other side of the country and I don't get to talk or see you on a daily basis like I used to...there's nothing wrong with sharing the "simple" things. As for us, it's the best way to keep up with and share pics with all our friends and family back in Cali. But, even my new friends out here are blogging and it's fun just to see what everyone is up to...like a scrapbook as you said. Just a fun way to keep up with your friends, particularly those that don't live close.
Chicky!! You need to keep this blog, I've so enjoyed getting to know you and your family again!! Honestly!! :) Just join the rest of us - for goodness' sake, I post pictures of pets!! hahahaha
Oh keep on blogging! We've enjoyed keeping up with you this way. I personally keep my blog light too though I do post some of our dirty laundry sometimes as I don't have a perfect fun happy life 24/7. Just trying to keep it real and let family and friends who live far away peek in on our happenings. Also to see who is looking at your blog you can put site meter on. I used to have it on my blog but lost it and haven't put it on for no apparent reason but I found it helpful for me to know who is looking at it.
KEEP IT...KEEP IT...KEEP IT...
Please keep it! I know wer are friends and see eachother often, but not every little thing is shared (or should be) but things like the Lemonade Stand and such are things I like to see and know about...so please KEEP IT!!! I agree with Sandy Ellsworth (God bless her) You are, in your very special way, OVER ANALYZING!!!
Love,
Georg
BY THE WAY, What does Chandler in his underware have to do with your Dad or Dave's Cancer...you know you like blogging...so don't you dare give it up!
Hi, my name is Bri and I was one of Dan Waldeck's players at The Masters. I just thought I would comment because I am totally one of those people who you don't have any idea is reading your blog! :) I have been keeping up on the Waldecks and you were on their page and I just clicked on your name one day and checked your family out. Needless to say I was sobbing by the end of reading all your blogs. I have continued to check up on you guys and see how the family is doing, esp. David's health. I can remember praying for your family right then and there when I first saw you guys. So if this is any encouragement to you...I was really blessed, strengthened, and encouraged in my own marriage as a 23 year old wife. Your site has been very real to me. I apologize now for being a stalker on your sight ;) haha. Thanks!
